Car Rides for Your Dog … Dog Seat Belts (?!?)

Some friends of ours adopted a puppy a few months ago. I offered one very important tip: Be sure to get your puppy used to riding in the car while she is still a puppy. Of course, it is best if you have a dog seat belt and get your dog used to it right from the start.

I am always surprised to see people who let their dogs ride in cars with the dog’s head hanging out of the open window. I know that dogs enjoy the wind on their faces – but what happens when the car is traveling at a high speed and a fly hits the dog’s eye? Yikes! That could cause some major problems!
